Good Afternoon All,
This week I'm asking for your help. We have 2 holiday events planned: Sat. Dec. 2 and Sat. Dec. 9. Next Saturday's event will take place in the Broadview section of our BIA - Pretoria to Dearbourne; and, Saturday, Dec. 9's event will take place on Danforth from Broadview to Hampton.
I'm attaching our social media files to this email in the hopes that you all will help to promote these events via your social media. We are promoting on the BIA's platforms, I will be dropping off posters over the next couple of days and our radio commercials will start running this coming Monday.
We are still in construction in our Broadview north section. I had my usual Friday morning meeting today and no one is confident that the area will be cleared by Saturday the 2nd. We are going to push through and will have strolling carollers, face painters, balloon twisters and hot chocolate samples in this section. As you can all appreciate, our members in this section are really being challenged - it's the start of the holiday season and their section is not the most welcoming for consumers.
Here's the breakdown of what's happening where per each date:
Saturday, Dec. 2, Noon to 3pm
Broadview - Dearbourne to Pretoria
Broadview South:
- BD Beats performer Ori Dagan and his band will be performing next to 747 Broadview
- Santa will be on hand for photos and to hear wishes at 747 Broadview
- Si Espresso will be offering hot chocolate/coffee samples
- DutchPot will be offering Jamaican pop samples
- Balloon twisters will be strolling
- At 2pm our Board Chair, Albert Stortchak will find out if he's reached his Movember total and gets to keep his 50 year old moustache or not! If he hasn't reached his fundraising goal of $10K his moustache will be shaved off right then and there.
- Cram a Cruiser - 55 Police division food and toy drive will be located under the portico of our Loblaws
- Carollers will stroll between Pretoria and just north of Danforth
- Face painting will be located in front of Bloor Eyewear - 793 Broadview
- Balloon twisters will be strolling
- Kitchenette will be offering hot chocolate samples
- We will ask Santa to stroll up to this section to pay a visit
Danforth - Broadview to Hampton
Broadview North & South
On Danforth:
- BD Beats performer Ori Dagan and his band will be performing in the Carrot Common courtyard
- Santa will be in the Carrot Common courtyard for photos and to hear wishes
- Second Cup will be offering hot chocolate samples in the Carrot Common courtyard
- Cram a Cruiser will be located on Danforth by the Carrot Common
- Face painting and balloon twisters will be located in front of Small Wonders Pets
- Cobs will be offering seasonal samplings
- Carollers will be strolling along Danforth
On Broadview:
- Carollers will also be strolling in both sections of Broadview (north & south)
