Holiday Shopping Contest:
As a reminder, we are getting ready to launch our Holiday Shopping Contest on Saturday, Dec. 7 and it will run through to Saturday, Dec. 14. Customers can enter the contest by either spending $10 or more at any one of our BIA businesses or by posting a Google review for their favourite BIA business. Attached is the poster for the contest with full details on how to enter. We ran a similar contest back in September for our BD Beats finale event and it was very popular and well received.
Thanks so much to the members who have already offered a prize - that is so appreciated. If anyone else would like to donate to the prize list please just email me before this coming Monday, Dec. 2. Prizes can be gift cards, a specific item, or a gift basket. We will be promoting the full list of prizes on our website and through our social media.
Counterfeit Money:
It's that time of year when we start to see people trying to use counterfeit money. One of our members sent me a photo (emailed to you) of a man trying to pass off a fake $100 bill. Please be aware. I've also attached the Bank of Canada's information on counterfeit money which includes information on what to look for (pages 6-12) and what to do if you end up with fake money - see page 13 - you need to notify the police.
