I wanted to share a few things in addition to the KPMG report that I emailed to you earlier today.
We did a couple of media things this week as follows:
- Interview with the Toronto Star pertaining to the state of the city's snow removal. I've included the link to the article below. It's a long article, a good one, and our Board Chair's, Albert Stortchak, part is towards the end of the article.
- Yesterday (Thursday) Albert did an interview with CTV - they had heard about the social media series that we did during the month of February with Eszter's great videos highlighting some of our businesses that sell Canadian products. Our part of the piece is in conjunction with their coverage of the KPMG report findings. The story aired on the 5pm, 6:30pm and 11:30pm CTV Toronto news yesterday; and, aired again this morning in Winnipeg and Edmonton. Attached is the coverage.
- I've just received the attached notice from the City's Film Office - a production will be filming again in the Danforth/Jackman section of our BIA on Monday. Full details are included in the attachment.
- I have flagged the concern that we still have snow mounds in the area and the production crew needs to ensure that between the snow and their equipment people can easily navigate the sidewalks in order to get to our businesses.
