Good Afternoon Broadview Danforth BIA Members,
I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend and you're all set for Taste this coming weekend. Please read the following for event information:
- Attached is the latest site plan. All businesses registered to participate outside their storefronts are listed on this plan. If you registered and don't see your business listed please let me know as soon as possible. For our registered Broadview businesses, you've been placed on the Danforth on the north side just east of Playter.
- When setting up, remember that you are NOT allowed to set up on the sidewalk in front of your business. The City has instituted new rules. You will be setting up in the bike and parking lanes in front of your business. Visitors to the festival will be allowed to walk on the sidewalks, meaning people will be walking behind your set-up. Please make sure that you keep your cash and payment equipment secure.
- The amusement rides are not located in our BIA this time - they are located at the far east end of Danforth - just before Jones. We do have a Kids Zone set for the Green P lot at Playter and Danforth. This will consist of large Lego blocks, face painting etc.
- We have booked additional bands to play in our CafeTO parkette located in front of Zed80 during the Festival. Our regular BD Beats bands will be playing on Friday night at both of our CafeTO parkettes.
- Road Closure and Festival Times: the Danforth will be closed to all traffic on Friday at 9am and will reopen on Monday at 4am. Taste will run as follows: Friday 6pm-midnight; Saturday noon-midnight; Sunday noon-10pm.
- CONTACTS DURING THE FESTIVAL: If you have set-up issues, security issues or your garbage hasn't been dealt with during the over night pick-ups please contact Katerina at Greektown: 416-722-5092. For anything else please contact me at 416-995-1049.
- Police and private security will be in the area throughout the Festival.
