URGENT: Call for help before April 1/20

Good Afternoon All,

Once again I'm asking for your help.  April 1st is 6 days away and I know that many of you are concerned about your rent payments and relations with your property landlords.  There currently is no safety net for commercial renters.  Yesterday myself and some of our Board of Directors participated in a 2 hour conference call with Councillor Fletcher, members of the City's Economic and Development Division and all of the other BIAs located within Ward 14.  There are numerous issues to be dealt with but the decision was to start by tackling the most urgent one due to timing - rent relief.  Councillor Fletcher asked if our Board Member, Philip Kocev (iPro Realty) and myself could work with John Kiru from TABIA and take the lead on developing a very quickly turned around communication piece and communication plan for all of Toronto's 85 BIAs.  We have done that.

Here's what I need you to do:
1. Attached please find the communication piece.  It is in a .doc format so you can easily copy it and insert it into an email.  And I've included a pdf if you wish to attach it to an email.
2. We need you to send this email to the government people listed at the end of this email.
3. We also ask that you share this with your customers and ask that, if they're willing and able, they also send the email to the people listed below.
4. All of Toronto's 85 BIAs will be asking their business members to do the same thing this afternoon.
5. We have activated our PR people to take this message out to the media immediately so that the call for help gets the broadest coverage possible.

I urge you to take the time to do this.  It's important and each of your voices carries weight.  If you have any questions about how to copy the attached into an email just let me know.

Here's the list of people that you need to include in the "send" line of your email:

Thank you so much for your help.

Take care,
