Additional Updates: May 12/20

Good Afternoon Folks,

A couple of other things for today:

Hydro Construction Update:
Most of you know that we have to have our Hydro vault replaced.  The construction is taking place on the south side of Danforth from Body Blue over to Dough Bakeshop.  I know this is happening as businesses are trying to manage curbside pick-ups.  The crew is very good, they know that they're causing some stress but at the same time the work needs to get done.  This is week 3 of the construction and Hydro is hoping to have the full project completed in 3 more weeks.  Factory Girl and Body Blue - the worst of the work site is right in front of your businesses and the pathway isn't large.  The crew greatly appreciates your patience in all of this and they will do their best to stay on time for completion.  We will continue to post on Social Media that the affected area and businesses are open for curbside pick-ups etc.

City Announces the launch of ShopHere for Small Businesses:

The City of Toronto has officially announced the launch of ShopHERE, a new program to be delivered through the Digital Main Street platform, digitalmainstreet.ca/shophere.

ShopHERE provides Toronto's independent businesses and artists the opportunity to develop an online store, which will be built and launched for free in just a matter of days. Hands-on support will be provided throughout the entire process from volunteer website developers and marketing and business students.

Attached please find further details on this program.  Many of you have been working with Digital Main Street already and have your on-line sites up and running; but, should you need some additional help our DMS rep, Angelo, is always available.  Just let me know if you need me to connect you with him.

Thanks,

Susan
