Outdoor Fitness, Personal Care Services & Provincial Grant Updates

Good Afternoon All,

The Premier has just completed his Friday briefing and here are the new updates for areas in the Grey Zone:
1. Effective Monday, March 29, 2021 at 12:01 a.m., permitting outdoor fitness classes, outdoor training for team and individual sports and outdoor personal training, subject to public health and workplace safety measures, including, but not limited to: a maximum of 10 patrons, every person maintaining a physical distance of at least three metres from another person, requiring a reservation and active patron screening.

2. Effective Monday, April 12, 2021 at 12:01 a.m., personal care service settings including but not limited to barber shops, hair and nail salons, and body art establishments, will be permitted to operate at 25 per cent capacity or five patrons (whichever is less) subject to physical distancing, including by appointment only, and other public health and workplace safety measures.

3. The Ontario Small Business Support Grant - this is the provincial grant that offered between $10k - $20k to small businesses. For those of you who applied and were approved in the first round the Province will be providing you with a matching second payment - you do NOT need to apply again. This second payment will be automatic. So for example, if you received $10k in the first round you will be receiving an automatic second payment of $10k.

4. Please NOTE: Toronto is still in the Grey Zone - so the above changes apply to us; there has been no change for restaurants - you are still able to offer outdoor dining - no indoor dining.
