Your Opinion is Needed + Changes to 311

Good Afternoon Broadview Danforth BIA Members,

I have a couple of things for you today:

Destination Toronto Survey:
You are invited to complete the DMP Industry Survey. The aim of this survey is to ensure that everyone who works in tourism, hospitality, retail and adjacent sectors in Toronto gets an opportunity to share their thoughts about our city as a destination.

I just did the survey on behalf of the BIA and it doesn't take long and was pretty interesting.  So if you have a few minutes over the weekend please click the link and have your say.

Complete the survey for a chance to win a range of exciting prizes. One lucky winner will receive the grand prize: a one-night hotel stay at Ace Hotel and dinner for two at Waterworks Food Hall. Additional prizes include two 7-day Toronto Brew Passes, two 3-day Museum Passes, and two TIFF memberships.

311 Service Requests via Email:
I'm so excited to report that as of July 1st 311 has brought back their service requests by email!  All of the BIAs in the city have been pushing and fighting to get this back as the on-line system was horrible to use and dissuaded people from submitting requests. The return of the email component is a pilot that will run until the end of 2025.

So moving forward you can still use the on-line system if you like or you can email your service requests and easily attach photos via an email to  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

When emailing 311 to submit a service request please provide the following information:

  • Specific location of the issue (address / intersection / direction / landmarks)
  • Specific details as to what the issue is (e.g. large pothole, garbage not picked up etc)
  • You can attach a photo
Thanks,

Susan
