Celebrate soccer, music, and community on the Danforth with The World Within Our Neighbourhood — a free summer event bringing people together through the joy of the beautiful game. Join the Broadview Danforth BIA on June 12 and 13 for outdoor match-day fun, live music, family-friendly activities, local performances, and a special viewing party for Canada’s opening match against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The celebration continues through July 2 with musicians performing in CafeTO parkettes across the neighbourhood, representing cultures and countries from around the world. Come cheer, explore, dance, eat, shop, and experience the incredible mix of global sounds, local businesses, and community spirit that make Broadview Danforth feel like the world in one neighbourhood.

Friday Things

Good Afternoon All,

It's Friday and today I'd like to cover some things that I wasn't able to get to this week.

First I would like to thank all of you for emailing our government reps many times this week and adding your voices to our push for appropriate help for small business owners and landlords.  I'd also like to thank Angie and Ally from Route 504 PR - they have worked long and hard trying to get our messages out to the media this week - and will continue to push in the days to come.

Don't Turn Out The Lights on Small Businesses
- Please keep posting the graphics for this campaign - yes, I'm asking you to break the social media rules of not repeating things but.... a couple of times a week please post the graphic and hashtags that we provided you with earlier in the week.  Also for your regular business posts please include the hashtags that we provided - #keepthelightson #smallbusinessrentrelief.  This is a public awareness building campaign so we need to keep it up and running.
- Thank you for helping me to figure an appropriate rent range - we will work on an updated graphic for you all to start using next week.

Promotions & Services available to businesses:
Digital Main Street is offering free help to any business that is trying to do on-line shopping.  Many of you met Angelo from Digital Main Street last fall when we did a full program in our BIA.  Angelo is available to help again - please just let me know if you need him and I will connect you.
CHFI Radio is offering free on-line and on-air promotions for small businesses who are still operating in some capacity.  They are promoting this quite heavily on-air.  You need to go to their site and fill in the form - here is the link:
www.chfi.com › supportlocal

Skip The Dishes - some of you use this service for delivery - they have added a Support Local Business component whereby customers can add a tip to their order and these tips will be given directly to the business - Skip The Dishes will not take any of the tip money.

Updating our listing of operating businesses for our Social Media and Website:
Here is a list that I've created of our businesses and what you are currently offering - I'm not sure that it is all correct or if I've missed someone.  Can you please let me know if there is an error or omission - we want to update our social media posts and our website home page.  Here's what I have -  divided into categories:
Regular Open Hours:
Big Carrot, BulkBarn, COBS Bread, LCBO, Shopper's Drug Mart, Loblaws

Retail On-line with curbside pick-up or local delivery:
Snug, Erietta, Irina Rappaport, Small Wonders, Midoco, Ladida, Platis Dry Cleaners (Saturdays only)

Food & Restaurants with Curbside Pick-up/Take-out and local delivery:
Avoca Chocolates, Second Cup, Papyrus, Cinnaholic, The Auld Spot, Astoria, The Meat Department, De La Mer (delivery only), Dough Bakeshop, Tapas at Embrujo, Off The Hook, El Charro, Pi Co, Starbucks, Tim Horton's.

Thanks,
Susan
